Pubs and restaurants

There are a variety of pubs and restaurants in the area which has been called the gourmet centre of the East. Many of the local pubs can be included in a walk .

 

The Butt and Oyster Pub has a marvellous view of the River Orwell with good food as well as an outside eating area. You can walk from the cottage along the river to this pub.

The Brantham Bull has fabulous views along the Stour estuary as well as being a base
for walks to nearby Stutton.

The Ship at Levington and The Crown at Stoke by Nayland are both highly recommended gastro-pubs.
